From Munich Main Station, take the S-Bahn towards Ostbahnhof to the next stop Karlsplatz. From Karlsplatz take tram line 27 in the direction of Petuelring. The third stop is Pinakothek on the corner of Barerstraße and Theresienstraße (the tram runs on Barerstraße). Directly to the right of the stop you will find the institute.

From the airport, take the S1 or S8 towards the city center. Get off at Karlsplatz and take tram line 27 in the direction of Petuelring.
